This quasi-experimental study investigated the effectiveness of ICT-embedded Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) training in enhancing vocational skills among adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) aged 14 to 16 years, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) for inclusive and equitable education by 2030. Four participants used a purposive sampling technique in a three-month intervention that combined traditional physical prompting with updated PECS picture videos demonstrated through the Avaz app. The program equips participants to acquire and develop vocational skills autonomously, particularly in block-printing on sarees and necklace making, thus promoting self-sufficiency and job preparedness. This research examined the impact of ICT in enabling skill development, emphasizing the significance of cutting-edge educational approaches in enhancing independence and learning outcomes in adults with ASD. The study led to the achievement of SDG 4 by providing inclusive educational opportunities by supporting ASD adults in developing vocational skills, leading to more focus on digital interventions.
