Enhancing Business Sustainability Through Digital Legal Compliance and Regulatory Frameworks

The era of rapid digital transformation has presented both opportunities and challenges for businesses. This development demands businesses to be legally complaint with the requirements for sustainability. Digitally legal compliance requires adherence to laws and regulations governing digital activities. Effective compliance ensures that businesses mitigate risks related to data breaches, cyber threats and illegal activities which are increasingly prevalent in the digital age. Long-term viability of businesses ventures is enhanced by a view that sustainability extends beyond environmental considerations to include economic and social dimensions. AI is required in the integration of digital legal compliance within the legal frameworks of businesses. This paper focuses on sustainable business practices as well as the intersection of digital legal compliance and the regular regulatory frameworks. Regulatory frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulatory (GDPR) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA) are essential in promoting transparency, accountability and ethical behaviours among businesses. The study underscores the importance of adaptive compliance strategies and the integration of regulatory considerations into corporate governance models. The role of technological advancement such as blockchain and AI in enhancing compliance mechanism and fostering sustainable business is investigated. Findings of this research will enhance the proactivity of businesses in as far as digital legal compliance and adherence to stringent regulatory standards is concerned. The paper contributes to understanding how digital compliance and regulatory frameworks can serve as enablers of business sustainability, providing insights for policymakers, business leaders, and scholars on fostering resilient and ethically responsible digital economy.
