The study on “The Green Human Management Practices and their Roles in Enhancing the Environmental Behavior of Employees in the Governmental Sector in the Sultanate of Oman”. It tackled the impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices in boosting the environmental behavior of employees in Omani government institutions. It tried to explore to what extend such practices as environmental recruitment, training and incentives can enhance employees’ environmental awareness and urge them to undertake these environmentally friendly based green behaviors that would contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goals and Oman’s (2040) vision. For the analysis of the practices of the (GHRM) in the Omani government sector descriptive deductive approach was used via questionnaires and interviews conducted with the employees and officials. Statistical and qualitative methods were used to collect and analyze the data gathered to draw logical conclusion. The study concluded that, using environmentally inspired practices such training, incentives innovation has a positive effect on employees’ environmental behavior, and which will in turn reinforce their commitment to an environmental sustainability. However, some challenges such as lack of environmental understanding and poor supportive policies have been identified to impact the effectiveness of these practices. In conclusion, the researcher recommended the importance of developing comprehensive environmental training programs, promoting green employment policies, and providing incentives which would encourage employees to adopt friendly environmental practices. Eventually, the researcher suggested that environment-based policies should be regularly updated in order to assure that, sustainability objectives are successfully achieved in the Omani government sector.
