The maxilla completely surrounds the cartilaginous nasal capsule; there is even a well-defined nasal bone. Laterally, however, there is still a distance to the zygomatic arch. Each individual tooth has its own bony crypt. This also applies to the mandible, which also has a very prominent coronoid process and an equally prominent condylar process. Inside the condylar process, an extensive cartilaginous core is imposing. The resorption of Meckel’s cartilage has now started at its anterior end. The remaining cartilage appeared slightly thinner than in the previous fetuses (Figs. 29.1, 29.2, 29.3, 29.4, 29.5, 29.6, 29.7, 29.8, 29.9, 29.10, 29.11, 29.12, 29.13, 29.14, 29.15, 29.16, 29.17, 29.18, 29.19, 29.20, 29.21, 29.22, 29.23, and 29.24).
