This fact can also be seen as an indication that the respective maturity of individual organs can be very heterochronous in comparison with each other. In the reconstructions of this specimen, we were again able to incorporate the bone remodeling patterns very nicely into the illustrations. At the first glance, bone remodeling dominates in the mandible. However, there are also regions with bone resorption. These are preferably located on the inner sides of the mandible and, above all, on the inner walls of the bony crypts of the dental primordia. The same applies to the bone around the dental primordia in the maxillary region (Figs. 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, 24.4, 24.5, and 24.6).
