This embryo is also very well preserved and has lent itself very well to representation in the form of three-dimensional reconstructions. We were therefore able to show the spatial positional relationships of many structures in great detail. First of all, this concerns the sublingual and prelanryngeal musculature, the cartilaginous structures, and the developmental state of the mandible. The development of the dental primordia and their interaction with the peridental bone structures in the maxilla and mandible could also be given good attention in detail at this stage.
