Interlude from an Interview with Preti Taneja—I Translation: The Personal and the Political
摘要
As the first of this collection’s three Interludes, which are creative and critical reflections based on an extended interview that the editors had with the academic, activist, and author Preti Taneja, this chapter asks what translation is, and why it matters, both personally and politically. It also considers what kinds of mediating processes are involved in the acts of translating Shakespeare, and producing scholarly work on such translations.
