Given the proliferation of scientific studies warning about the risks of artificial intelligence (AI) across various fields and the rapid development of this technology, this chapter synthesizes the complexity arising from the interaction between AI, business economics, and ethics. Scientific advances within organizations must adhere to moral, ethical, and normative standards, which is challenging in the current context. This work aims to highlight the complexity and potential risks of violating fundamental rights through the unethical or illegal use of AI in economic practices. A code of ethics should guide internal and external processes within organizations. This philosophical approach can delineate actions and business decisions that lead to good or bad practices, avoiding subjective interpretations of ethics. Reevaluating deontological ethics, utilitarianism, and virtue ethics can help categorize, structure, and mitigate associated risks. To address the complexity of these frameworks, a Cartesian model is proposed to map potential combinations of AI applications with ethical and business economics perspectives. This approach aims to synthesize and narrow down the vast array of possibilities, providing a clearer understanding of their available options. By doing so, it assesses the impact of specific ethical and AI programming decisions, which, when aligned with business strategies, can guide the responsible use of AI.
