Basic Principles in US Imaging and Sectional Anatomy
摘要
It is necessary to know how ultrasound images are obtained, the interaction of ultrasound with biological tissues, and basic physics principles to achieve effective and satisfactory performance in any ultrasound scan. Familiarity with the concepts of the operation of the ultrasound system and artifacts that may arise during this process form the basis of a successful examination. In the second part of this chapter, the sonographic anatomy of the main structures of the neck, such as the thyroid gland, salivary glands, carotid artery, and internal jugular vein, is reviewed.
