Biocompatible Materials for Light Emitters
摘要
Biocompatible materials are explicitly designed to collaborate with biological systems, serving a wide range of applications, without causing damage to the host-tissue. To date, biocompatible materials have attracted remarkable attention in display, drug delivery, and lighting devices due to their numerous merits, involving cytotoxicity, biocompatibility, and flexibility. As light emitters, biocompatible materials emit corresponding light to the photon energy when current circulates through it. This chapter highlights the recent developments in the synthesis and functionalization of biocompatible materials for light-emitting applications.
