Achilles Tendon Lengthening
摘要
This chapter discusses the techniques and challenges involved in lengthening the gastrocnemius and soleus aponeurosis at different levels of the leg. The article emphasizes the importance of hydrodissection and the use of ultrasound guidance to ensure a safe and effective procedure. The authors highlight their preference for performing the lengthening at level 3, citing its ease of access and significant elongation potential. The step-by-step technique is described, including the positioning of the patient, localization of the lengthening area, and the use of either a needle or hook knife for the procedure. Postoperative care and expected recovery timelines for patients undergoing this lengthening procedure are explained.
