Epitrochleitis: Ultrasound-Guided Release
摘要
Medial epicondylitis (ME), also known as golfer’s elbow, is a painful condition that affects the medial common flexor tendon at its insertion at the medial epicondyle [1]. Nowadays, the prevailing opinion is that ME is a degenerative process, as the histology shows a tendinosis [2]. We present an ultrasound-guided procedure that allows for the release of medial fascia with a minimally invasive approach, which can be performed under local anesthesia and in an office setting.
