Bibliometric Mapping of Data Catalogs: Exploring Advances and Key Research Actors
摘要
The research investigates the scholarly landscape of data catalogs through a comprehensive bibliometric mapping, highlighting advances and identifying key research actors in the field. By analyzing data from multiple bibliographic databases including Scopus, Web of Science, Dimensions, OpenAlex, Lens.org, PubMed, and Cochrane Library, this study offers a detailed examination of publication trends, influential articles, and research dynamics. The findings underscore the increasing significance of data catalogs in data management and metadata practices, driven by the rise of big data and data-driven decision-making processes. This bibliometric analysis reveals the concentration of influential research in specific journals and countries, the emergence of key concepts, and the network of collaborations shaping the field. The results provide a foundational understanding of the current state and future directions of data catalog research, fostering enhanced collaboration and innovation.
