Maximizing the Energy Yield of Traffic Turbines
摘要
Traffic turbines represent a unique and innovative solution for generating electricity. They use the wind generated by the motion of vehicles to generate energy. This artificial wind offers a consistent and predictable source of kinetic energy. However, it is localized and very turbulent. This work addresses the influence of turbine placement and type on the power yield through case studies. This is done to evaluate how the power yield of these turbines can be maximized. It also presents possible applications for these types of turbines in correspondence with their potential power output.
