Business Rules: From Text to Formal Language
摘要
Business rules are like the fundamental rules of a game that guide how a company operates on a daily basis. They're usually written in regular language so everyone within the organization can understand them clearly and apply them effectively. These rules have a broad impact, affecting everything in the company, not just the software systems. When there are problems or inconsistencies with these rules, it can lead to issues that spread throughout various departments and processes, potentially disrupting operations. Trying to correct these problems manually is not only time-consuming but can also result in errors and inefficiencies. This paper proposes a new method to convert these plain-language business rules into clear, structured rules that a computer can understand and process. By doing so, it aims to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of rule implementation, making it easier for companies to manage and utilize their rules effectively, ultimately improving overall operational effectiveness.
