Ophthalmology of Basketball
摘要
Basketball is a widely played sport that involves significant player-on-player contact, frequently leading to eye injuries. There are many different types of ocular injuries that may arise from basketball, and adequate assessment and treatment is important to minimize any long-term consequences. This chapter covers the epidemiology of basketball-related ocular injuries and highlights the clinical presentation, management, and prevention of common injuries to the eye. We also discuss visual training strategies to improve basketball performance and some visuomotor benefits of playing the sport.
