In this paper, an advanced solution has been proposed for efficient and secure attendance management with an RPi system. RPi dynamically generates the encrypted unique tokens through hashing the individual IDs, event IDs, and a confidential pass-code exclusive to the administrator. Five minutes before each event, QR codes containing the encrypted tokens are dispatched to users via email. During the first part (15 min) of the session, participants show the QR code to the RPi for the attendance record. It also uses face detection technology for added security to ensure it is not the same person doing successive scans. To extend the functionality, the system has a locally hosted web server running on the Raspberry Pi, showing a dynamic real-time page of present users in a table form. This web-based page allows administrators easily to track the attendance status of people during the session. RPi logs attendance on an Excel sheet and will also shows the student’s name on an LCD in terms of immediate feedback to provides real-time count of students present for quick confirmation. This project successfully integrates technology, combining a robust attendance system with the convenience of a local web server for real-time monitoring.

摘要
