Collaborators: Taussig, Blalock, Thomas
摘要
In this chapter we finally encounter the first transformative surgical procedure for a complex congenital heart defect - the tetralogy of Fallot. And it actually ameliorated the primary physiological derangement—too little oxygen in the blood. We meet the inventors - Alfred Blaylock, Helen Taussig, and Vivien Thomas. A brief biography of each and the contribution of each is included.
