The individuals, especially Antoine Lavoisier, but including Galileo, Torricelli, Robert hook Robert Boyle, John Mayow, and Richard Lower Identified, weighed, and showed the properties of these gases. Not only are their lives portrayed but their experimental methods are outlined in some detail.
