The Importance of Music in Children’s Development
摘要
Music in Child Development Infants have innate abilities to process music and can make assumptions about pitch, rhythm, and form memories of music heard in the womb. This has led researchers to consider the specific role of music in children’s development and devise ways of enhancing various nonmusical abilities. These abilities range from social interaction and communication to language cognition and learning. This chapter illustrates the fundamental musical abilities emerging in childhood to explain the connections between music, language, and learning.
