Specification of Autonomous Behavior
摘要
Verification is impossible without a specificationspecificationrequirements of a desired function. You must define what a task and its properties are before you can verify whether something is capable of performing that task while providing those properties. This chapter provides a Capability RepresentationcapabilityCapability Representation (CR) for defining the precise parameters of the task, explicitly including (1) areas of uncertainty, where the autonomy is expected to decide on the correct course of action, (2) areas of abstraction, where the task specifier is aware of contextual uncertainty, and (3) implicit assumptions about desired system behavior and how the system should be evaluated. This capability representation is then used to support a documentation form, the Capability Analysis Table, capabilityCapability Analysis Table (CAT) that defines relationships between capabilities and enables translation from an arbitrary behavior design to simple logical assessment of basic structural properties of an autonomous behavior. Together, these elements enable specification of autonomous functionality. specificationfunctionfunctionspecification
