Features of the Technogeosystem of the Gaisky Deposit of the Southern Urals

The results of the study of one of the largest technogenic geosystems of the Southern Urals – quarries and dumps of the Gaisky deposit are considered. The features of the landscape-geochemical differentiation of the basin system are established: local watercourses and quarries and dumps of the Gayskoye field. Special attention is paid to the dynamics of the concentration of heavy metals in groundwater, in the waters of local watercourses and in soils, as well as technomorphic elements of the Gaian technogeosystem – at the top and in the slopes of dumps, in sub-basement streams and man-made springs. Among the key factors in the formation of the technogenic landscape-geochemical complex of the Gaisky deposit, special attention is paid to the processes of filtration of atmospheric precipitation and the processes of natural leaching of the dump thickness of overburden rocks and substandard ores.
