The purpose of the study is to study the features of the formation of value orientations of IT specialists by including virtual reality technologies in the educational process. We assume that the inclusion of virtual reality in training in the presentation of educational material and visualization of a) the actual object of study (technology, programming language, etc.), b) a possible way to solve the problem, c) the result of the activity, the inclusion of practical tasks in each lesson aimed at solving a professional problem, for example: compose a code, solve a problem with a computer, etc., the use of simulators that imitate the distribution of tasks, project planning, etc., the use of case technologies in which a situation is given, it is necessary to identify the causes, determine the correct solution.
