Indigenous Law and Sustainability
摘要
This chapter follows one aspect of Indigenous law, the “duty to consult”, which many people consider the most important development in Indigenous law in the past 30 years, over part of the career of a lawyer who has practiced in, and through, that development. It then offers a perspective on the contribution of the duty to consult to the sustainability of Indigenous Nations and people in Canada. The views expressed are solely those of the lawyer and remain open to change.
