Foundations of Intellectual Property and Globalization of Patent Systems
摘要
This chapter examines Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), focusing primarily on patents, their strategic importance, and their role in business innovation in an increasingly integrated world economy. These legal protections can be in the form of patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets and are enforced to protect the individual creator’s financial interest. This review covers the history and evolution of the patent system, its strategic implications, and how globalization and emerging technologies are reshaping traditional laws and practices relative to patents.
