Drivers of AI Deployment to Achieve SDGs
摘要
This chapter discusses the main drivers of the deployment of AI to achieve the SDGs. A range of factors drive the deployment of AI to achieve the SDGs, highlighting its transformative potential. At the core is visionary leadership. This is required at organisational, national, regional, continental and global levels. The ability to create and articulate a clear, compelling future vision that inspires and motivates others to achieve the SDGs using AI is imperative. Efficiency, innovation, scalability, and data-driven decision-making illustrate AI’s ability to address global challenges effectively. Additionally, inclusivity, partnerships, and private-sector engagement ensure that AI solutions are equitable and impactful. Supportive policies and the international commitment to sustainability further accelerate AI adoption. Together, these drivers foster a collaborative and innovative ecosystem that leverages AI as a powerful tool to create a sustainable and inclusive future. Data-driven decision-making empowers policymakers with actionable insights, enabling targeted and evidence-based interventions. Furthermore, partnerships and collaborations among governments, academia, industry, and civil society amplify the reach and impact of AI innovations.
