Psychology’s Contribution to Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
摘要
This chapter explores how psychology contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing the behavioral, cognitive, and emotional factors that shape health and well-being. It begins by outlining the SDG framework and examining its intersection with psychological science, highlighting how psychological insights are essential for tackling global health challenges. By emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, the chapter examines how psychology can inform strategies to enhance mental health resilience in the face of climate change (SDG 13: Climate Action), reduce health disparities (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being), promote quality education (SDG 4), and advance social equity (SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities). Real-world examples illustrate how psychological interventions drive behavior change, community engagement, and policy development to create sustainable and equitable health solutions. Through this discussion, the chapter demonstrates that psychology is not only relevant to global health but essential for achieving the SDGs, ensuring that interventions are scientifically grounded, behaviorally informed, and socially inclusive.
