This study investigates the effect of human resource management practices (HRMP) and adaptability on a person’s career sustainability. The sample is made up of 245 full-time employees from various industries across the United States (USA). We used Process Macro in SPSS to conduct regression analysis and test the hypotheses. The results show a positive, direct relationship between HRMP and Career Sustainability. The results also indicate that career adaptability mediates the relationship between HRMP and career sustainability. This study extends knowledge on how HRMP may advance career sustainability during challenging and turbulent times. It also contributes to the literature by testing the effect of career adaptability on career sustainability.
