The main goals of data privacy are to safeguard the rights of individuals and guarantee secure and responsible use of personal data. In this paper, we highlight the need to apply data privacy in the age of big data and examine the possibility of leveraging big data technologies, legal privacy regulations like GDPR, and transparent data practices to effectively secure personal data, particularly in the healthcare domain.
