Advertising has evolved into a powerful marketing tool over the last century. It involves the activity or profession of producing advertisements for products or services. Advertisements are very crucial in business growth and the billboards we have in this century are not gender specific. Making information dissemination disorganized and when this is happening, billboards don’t end up catching the attention of the customers. Thus business owners do not meet up with their customer targets and once customer targets are not been met, losses can set in which can lead to the folding up of such businesses. This study used the OpenCV library in Python programming language. The Algorithm used is SSD (Single Shot Multibox Detector). A prototype of the model is tested and evaluated. A total of 140 images were used for the performance evaluation. Males (50 images), Females (50 images), and other images (40 images). The study is not 100% accurate as there are some shortcomings encountered after the implementation was done. It is recommended that the developed system should be embedded in every billboard to enable it to detect gender and display appropriate advertisements that follow suit.

摘要
