This paper examines the pivotal role of territorial planning and public policies in Morocco’s socio-economic development, particularly in enhancing the quality of life and ensuring equitable resource distribution. The Moroccan government has implemented advanced regionalization strategies and various programs aimed at mitigating regional disparities in residential attractiveness. This study seeks to identify the primary factors contributing to this attractiveness, focusing on infrastructure, public services, the local economy, and living conditions. Utilizing a multiple backward regression model based on the 2014 census data, the research aims to uncover key determinants of residential attractiveness. The findings will inform policy recommendations to improve the appeal of different regions, thereby fostering harmonious and balanced development. The implications of this study are significant for guiding public policy and spatial planning efforts aimed at reducing regional inequalities and promoting sustainable development across Morocco.
