Vascular lesions are very sensitive to low temperatures. Small vessels are ideal for cryosurgical treatment; large vessels raise the local temperature and tend to recanalize after treatment. Different types of vascular tumors can be treated with cryosurgery: infantile hemangiomas, hypertrophic vascular malformations, angiokeratomas, cherry angiomas, and pyogenic granulomas, among others. An overview of the different options is shown in this chapter.

摘要

Vascular lesions are very sensitive to low temperatures. Small vessels are ideal for cryosurgical treatment; large vessels raise the local temperature and tend to recanalize after treatment. Different types of vascular tumors can be treated with cryosurgery: infantile hemangiomas, hypertrophic vascular malformations, angiokeratomas, cherry angiomas, and pyogenic granulomas, among others. An overview of the different options is shown in this chapter.
