History of Calvarial Lesions
摘要
In this chapter, a brief review of ancient to current approaches in order to treat calvarial lesions was given. Therefore, we studied the notes of Hippocrates, Galen, Avicenna and Abulcasis, the achievements of Bergario da Capri, Della Croce, Wadall, Pott, the innovations of Pancoast, Gigli, Obalinski and Doyen, the important contributions of Cushing and Dandy, and finally the modern era neuroradiological studies. Today, the study of calvarial lesions remains a challenging subject of neurosurgery and of the pediatric neurosurgery, all over the world.
