Sharon Shaflan Lazar serves as the national visual arts educationsupervisor in Israel and ia a lecture at the Seminar Hakibbutzim Academic College. She instructed teachers and students in art workshops for high school graduation in Israel for several years on behalf of the Ministry of Education's supervision of the arts. In this chapter, she presents her insights from the works outstanding students exhibited in the “Excellence Exhibition” in 2022, the first show after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Shaflan Lazar analyzes artworks featuring dogs, as she observes the dominant motif in students' creations after experiencing the isolation and disruption caused by the pandemic, affecting their natural development as adolescents. She combines her analysis with insights from interviews with students and their teachers, confirming her findings.
