Lean applications have spread to all areas and have provided countless improvements. In this way, businesses follow the lean culture closely and adopt it. However, many businesses think that lean thinking can only be applied to the production environment. The lean idea can be successful in a production environment as well as in office environments. Since production comes first for businesses, they do not make the necessary improvements to their office environments. In office environments, waste is usually hidden. It does not attract the attention of management and employees too much. But when researched with lean methods, wastes are detected and eliminated. In this way, improvements will be made in many concepts such as efficiency, customer satisfaction, cost, and competitiveness. The goal of lean methods is to eliminate all waste from a system. The “seven deadly waste/waste” is the best-known waste/waste classification. Overproduction, inventory, operations, overwork, handling, errors, and waiting are the seven deadly wastes. In this study, a literature review on lean office and its techniques has been made and how lean thinking has adapted to office processes has been examined. The forms of waste that may arise in office processes and lean methods that can be used to identify and reduce these wastes are explained. In the study, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, Standard Operation, Cellular Layout, Visual Management, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke lean techniques were examined. It has been decided which lean techniques will be used for improvement in a bank operating office.

摘要
