The convergence of media resulting from cultural globalization has enabled the phenomenon of intense content and information flow across platforms and formats, fragmenting content consumption and giving rise to transmedia. In this context, transmedia is an innovative and emerging phenomenon in digital media, characterized by the use of various media and platforms that uniquely contribute to the propagation and development of narratives. Due to its high engagement and immersive potential, this study aims to understand how transmedia strategies are utilized in digital media and relate them to intensive use behaviors and digital dependencies. It also addresses guidelines for the conscious and healthy consumption of transmedia content, offering a future outlook on its developments in digital media with the rise of augmented and virtual realities.
