The final chapter is a summary of the key points to do with archeomythology and “Old European Spiritual Lifeways.” The conclusion exhorts scholars and professionals to delve more deeply into the multidimensional healing potential of the saunas and sweat houses in their various forms as a form of collective healing from patriarchal dysfunctions and greedy global politics. I strengthen my conclusion and points by referring to recent studies in Moldovia of the Mother-House. Nikos Čausidis and Goce Naumov of Northern Macedonia have both studied the ancient buildings they call woman-houses, discussing in detail and in prehistoric depth their symbolism. The reader will no doubt notice the affinities with the symbolism and proxemics discussed in this book. I discuss goddess altars and other phenomena that scholars can study and deepen the research I here initiate into Old Europe, the ancient world and sauna-sweat houses. Finally, I draw tentative conclusions about why this research is important specifically in the context of today’s world and its historic challenges, not least the culture of hate and concentration of power which is threatening all peace-oriented institutions of collective well-being and democracy.
