This paper presents a performance monitor of automatic dependent surveillance – broadcast (ADS-B). ADS-B is a surveillance system for monitoring aircraft with a transponder. The positional information is based on an onboard global navigation satellite system receiver, and operational information with its own position data is transmitted using Mode S signals. To evaluate the performance of ADS-B, statistical analysis is necessary. Thus, we are developing a performance monitor for ADS-B. In this paper, the basic concept of performance monitoring for the ADS-B under development is introduced.
