This paper proposes a network congestion recognition method based on genetic algorithms, aiming to accurately identify congested nodes to maintain network stability and improve service quality. The method neither injects additional packets nor involves user privacy. It narrows the scope of congestion identification by detecting changes in the optimal paths before and after congestion, thereby determining the location of congestion. Experimental results show that this method can pinpoint the range of congestion occurrence, including specific nodes, offering a novel approach to network congestion management.
