Robotics and IoT in Autonomous Vehicles: Background, Integration Trends and Recent Advances

In recent days, accidents are rapidly increasing. Internet of Things (IoT) enabled automobiles have shown significant measures in decreasing road accidents by the help of roadside IoT devices like cameras, sensors, laser radars and many more. IoT is a new paradigm which gives a set of services for the innovation of technology which is based on merging of many processes like sensing, computation, communication, and identification. These processes are already core essentials of a humanoid robot. By using technologies in the IoT enabled autonomous vehicles, a model can be trained such a way that it can incorporate for solving randomness in day-to-day life. These humanoid robots can learn from the dataset of the sensors, cameras, and lasers. A well-built robot can fully function as a ride sharing driver. Such technology is currently in the AI system of Tesla, but only in the form of AI in the form of IoT automobile. This paper highlights the basic classifications of IoT and discusses its various devices and how they are helping at present and will help in future. Further these devices are categorized in three parts- low-end, middle-end and high-end devices. Finally, the paper discusses robotics and autonomous vehicles, and the integration ofRobotics using IoT in self- driving autonomous vehicles.
