This article describes the morphometric analysis of vertebrae by computed tomography in patients with osteoporosis. The selection of features of objects in the images to determine the most informative characteristics corresponding to this type of objects is carried out. The results of the vertebral body morphometric analysis algorithm demonstrating its accuracy are described. The possibility of classifying normal and pathological classes on the basis of selected features is substantiated. Based on the obtained data, an algorithm for vertebral classification was developed.
