Graphene is a remarkable material that has transformed battery technology with its outstanding electrical conductivity, adjustable interlayer spacing, and enhanced surface area. Owing to the straightforward production methods, affordability, and abundant resources, lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and zinc-ion batteries have become the most popular battery technologies. Research communities and industries are constantly concentrating on synthesising material composites that can greatly advance the electrochemical performance of metal-ion batteries as the need for high-performance batteries is on the rise. As a result, graphene has been incorporated into anode and cathode materials to enable a high ion diffusion rate and increased assessable area for metal ions to accommodate. The outcomes of the various studies have shown favourable results in terms of enhancing the energy and power density of the energy-storing batteries. Moreover, the rate capability, retention rate, and capacity of the battery improved for high capacitance and prolonged cycles.

摘要
