Career Counselling for Wellbeing in a Digital Age
摘要
Based on the life-design paradigm, career construction theory, and psychology of working theory, this chapter adopts a theoretical approach to outline the role of career counselling and guidance in promoting access to decent work and wellbeing in a digital age. The life-design approach to career counselling proposes that career interventions should be available to individuals all throughout their careers. Career counsellors can work with individuals to develop the competencies, such as career adaptability and life-long learning, needed to sustain wellbeing in a digital age at different career stages for adolescents and adults. This chapter will lead to specific recommendations for the field of career guidance and counselling and future research in vocational psychology concerned with promoting access to decent work and wellbeing in a digital age. This chapter will offer new insights pertaining to the application of career counselling to enabling individual wellbeing in digital-enabled environments.
