The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects and prospects of digital transformation on the World Trade Organization (WTO). Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, the research examined data and information pertaining to developments in digital transformation and their implications for the organization's policies and procedures. Findings indicated that while the WTO has met some of its fundamental objectives, including the promotion of international trade freedom and enhancements in living standards in specific regions, it has not fully realized all its goals across all nations. Additionally, the study revealed that the WTO's essential principles, such as non-discrimination and transparency, have played a role in improving the global trade landscape; however, challenges remain in the equitable application of these principles between developed and developing countries. In summary, the study advocated for increased transparency in decision-making processes and greater collaboration among member states to ensure an equitable and balanced enforcement of principles. It also urged a thorough review of the organization’s structure, enhancements to the effectiveness of dispute resolution mechanisms, and the provision of technical support and assistance to developing nations to aid them in fulfilling their obligations. The importance of updating principles and policies to align with global changes and emerging challenges in international trade was emphasized, along with the need for knowledge and experience sharing among member states to promote mutual understanding and achieve collective benefits.
