The Reality of Human Resource Management Practices and Their Relationship with Employee Performance in Private Institutions

This study aimed to identify the reality of human resource management practices and their relationship with employee performance in private institutions in Bethlehem Governorate. The study was conducted on private institutions in Bethlehem Governorate, and to achieve its objectives, the research team prepared a questionnaire to collect the necessary data from various sources to achieve those goals. The research team adopted the descriptive analytical approach to conduct the study, with the questionnaire as the primary tool for collecting information. The study was conducted on a random sample of 50 questionnaires distributed among the study population, the employees of private sector institutions in Bethlehem Governorate. The study yielded several important results: The results showed that the degree of job design and analysis was significant, with the most common aspects being the existence of job descriptions and specifications prepared by the Human Resources Department, followed by job analysis conducted by the Human Resources Department. The data in the previous table indicate that the degree of recruitment and selection was significant, with the most common aspects being the Human Resources Management determining the characteristics and traits of individuals to be recruited, followed by clear and consistent recruitment and selection policies aligned with the objectives of private sector institutions. The results showed that the degree of training and development was significant, with the most common aspects being private sector institutions providing employees with continuous training opportunities to acquire new skills, followed by private sector institutions assigning employees tasks after completing their training to ensure the application of acquired knowledge in their jobs.
