The continuous evolution of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), is transforming the way governments deliver services, including social security systems. This research examines the implications of adopting AI in social security systems, focusing on data privacy and security considerations. The study begins by analyzing the services provided by social security systems and common data security vulnerabilities. It then explores AI’s potential to address these weaknesses, highlighting examples of countries that have successfully modernized their systems through AI adoption. The final section assesses the impact of AI tools on data privacy, critically evaluating whether AI can serve as a viable solution to enhance security. The research employs a qualitative methodology, using a descriptive approach to review relevant literature and case studies, followed by an analytical approach to derive insights. The findings emphasize both the benefits and challenges of AI integration, particularly the need for strong data privacy frameworks to ensure the success of AI-driven modernization.
