The Impact of Multilingual Conversational AI Tools on Shaping User’s Choices and Preferences
摘要
The swift growth of multilingual conversational AI tools has revolutionized user engagement across a variety of sectors, including finance, education, healthcare, e-commerce, and beyond. Although prior research has investigated user preferences concerning gender and racial indicators in AI systems, there remains a gap in understanding how multilingual features impact user trust and choices regarding these technologies. This study aims to explore the effects of multilingual support in conversational AI on user interactions, preferences, and decisions, emphasizing natural language communication. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, this chapter integrates literature from diverse disciplines such as artificial intelligence, linguistics, and human–computer interaction, applying both descriptive and analytical methods. The results underscore important implications for creating more inclusive and tailored AI systems that address varied linguistic and cultural requirements. Furthermore, the research illustrates how user selections related to language, accent, and interaction style are influenced by multilingual AI tools, providing valuable insights for businesses and governmental entities engaged in the development of multilingual digital platforms.
