This chapter is situated within the emerging field of digital anthropology, examining how digital technology influences human behavior in virtual settings. It will explore a range of technological tools, such as virtual reality, social media, artificial intelligence, and networks, and their impact on shaping cultural, social, and political structures, along with individual identities and interactions. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, the research adopts a descriptive approach to review pertinent literature while employing an analytical lens to synthesize insights regarding human navigation within digital realms. Central themes include the significance of perception in virtual environments and the interaction between humans and technology, as well as the broader societal effects stemming from digital engagement. Consequently, this chapter contributes to ongoing discussions about virtual behavior, offering perspectives on ethical dilemmas, the inherent characteristics of digital spaces, and contemporary trends in cyberethnography.
