Psychological Well-Being in the Age of Connectivity: Examining the Influence of Social Media and Digital Interaction
摘要
The emergence of digital platforms and social media has sharply changed the nature of human relationships in the present world. Therefore, this research will try to find out how much these technological changes have affected human psychological well-being with a focus on social media and digital communication. While digital engagement can be viewed as an opportunity for mass communication, it raises relevant issues related to its effects on mental health. The research shall take a qualitative approach by using both descriptive and analytical tools for reviewing related literature that provides information on the relationship between online engagement and its impact on psychological outcomes. This paper critically looks at empirical evidence regarding social media's role from two angles: one that suggests it leads to isolation and another that argues it increases connectivity without considering what these mean for mental well-being. It also explores ways through which such tools can be put into practice within Arabic language teaching, hence narrowing the gap between modern technological advancements and traditional pedagogy. The findings are, therefore, very important for educators and policymakers in the formulation of technology-based strategies to enhance academic results and psychological well-being in a connected world.
