Suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SCH) is a rare (0.03–0.1%) but catastrophic complication that can occur during cataract surgery and penetrating keratoplasty. Even with prompt recognition and intervention, the prognosis is generally poor. Final visual acuity remains 20/200 or worse in most patients.
